QUESTIONS ABOUT JESUS
JESUS: GOD WITH US
For those who believe in God but are still asking who Jesus really is—these are the essentials, simply and clearly.
“‘Come now, let us reason together,’ says the Lord: ‘though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow...’”
God is not afraid of your honest questions or your doubts. He does not demand blind compliance or a polished performance. His invitation is simple: sit down, reason together with Him, and discover who Jesus truly is.
THE SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION OF RUNNING TO GOD
MATTHEW 27 & 28: THE CROSS & THE EMPTY TOMB
This entire website, the thousands of kilometres of dirt and solitude, and every devotion we write exist for one singular reason: to proclaim the real, historical, and living Christ revealed in Matthew 27 and 28.
THE FINISHED SACRIFICE
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.”— Matthew 27:50–51 (ESV)
When Jesus died, God tore the massive curtain separating man from the Holy of Holies. The barrier was destroyed from heaven downwards. Access to God is no longer locked behind human priests, religious buildings, or self-effort. Christ paid the penalty in full.
THE LIVING LORD
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay... Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”— Matthew 28:6, 19 (ESV)
The cross is not the end of the story. Death could not hold Him. Jesus rose bodily from the grave, defeated the grave forever, and sent His disciples out into every corner of the earth with the promise: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
EPHESIANS 2:4–5 (ESV)
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).”
You do not have to clean up your life before you come to Him. You don't have to prove your worth across 6,000 kilometres of red dirt. While we were spiritually dead, God acted in love.
WHY WE PROCLAIM THAT JESUS IS GOD
Throughout history, people have called Jesus a good moral teacher, a wise prophet, or a created heavenly being. Yet the eyewitness accounts of the New Testament—especially in Matthew 27 and 28—reveal something infinitely greater: Jesus is Almighty God who stepped into our suffering to save us.

THE DIVINE IDENTITY
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us).”— Matthew 1:23 (ESV)
Jesus was not merely an angelic messenger sent on God's behalf. The Apostle John declares: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... and the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14).Paul confirms that in Christ, “the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Colossians 2:9).
PILLAR 02
HE ACCEPTS WORSHIP
“And behold, Jesus met them and said, ‘Greetings!’ And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.”— Matthew 28:9 (ESV)
In Scripture, worship (proskuneo) belongs exclusively to Almighty God (Exodus 20:3; Matthew 4:10). When John fell at an angel's feet, the angel commanded: “You must not do that! Worship God!” (Rev 22:9). When men knelt before Peter, Peter said: “Stand up; I too am a man” (Acts 10:26). Yet when the disciples fell down and worshiped the risen Christ in Matthew 28:9 and 28:17, Jesus accepted their worship. He accepted it because He is God.
PILLAR 03
THE SINGULAR DIVINE NAME
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”— Matthew 28:18–19 (ESV)
Notice that Jesus does not say “in the names” (plural), but “in the name” (singular). One singular divine Name shared eternally by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. No mere creature possesses all authority in heaven and on earth. Christ possesses it because He is the Lord of glory.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Is Jesus a created being or Almighty God?
The Bible explicitly teaches that Jesus was not created; He is the Creator of all things: “All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3 ESV). Colossians 1:16 confirms that all things in heaven and on earth were created by Him and for Him. He is God manifest in the flesh.
Can we earn salvation by our works or hours?
Never. In Ephesians 2:8–9 Scripture tells us: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”Salvation is not a wage paid for human religious performance; it is a free gift received by trusting in Christ's finished sacrifice at Calvary.
Why was the temple veil torn in Matthew 27:51?
The temple veil separated sinful man from the Holy of Holies. When Jesus yielded up His spirit, God tore the massive curtain from top to bottom. This proves that human religious mediation is over—access to God is freely and directly open to all through Jesus Christ alone (Hebrews 10:19–20 ESV).
Can anything separate a believer from Christ's love?
Romans 8:38–39 gives absolute assurance: neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. His grip on us is stronger than our weakness.
